One finger pulls down cool,
dark shades
She looks right through me
Across the room the shadows
fade
Shines an angel
Prayers I've heard
But felt no words
She’s too close for me to
breath
She shines through me
Peel the layers back one by
one
Expose her scared tattoo
A Softtail shining in the
sun
For everyone
One hard ride
Could break my pride
Truth too close for me to
see
She shines through me
This jaded heart, though
not yet stone
So good at lonely
Melts with words she lights
with eyes
That see where I bleed
Peace somehow
Shine on me now
Burn through all I could
not be
She shines through me.
