~ Well, no one said this was gonna be easy! I've had a
couple of hurdle's this month, most notably some border crossing hassles - seems
I'm not allowed to play showcase dates anymore, at least until I've secured a
new work permit. I've got that in the works, so in the meantiime lives
appearances will be Canada only for a few weeks. Watch my 'Live' page for
updates. On the musical side, Jimmy Weider just submitted a couple of our songs
to Canadian blues rocker Colin James for consideration on his new CD and I'm
back down to NY in early May for some more writing.

~ Hey everyone - lots of stuff happening this month. I've
just returned to The Ottawa Valley and have a show coming up @ one of my
favourite haunts,
The New Edinburgh Pub in Ottawa this
Saturday Mar. 22 - hope to see some of my old friends and fans out.
Spent the last week back in the Hudson Valley where the buzz over my
new CD continues to build, helped in part by some great press from
John Barry @ The
Poughkeepsie Journal and a good
turnout at my Rhinebeck CD release party @ Oblong Books.
WDST Radio Woodstock continues to be
supportive in playing my tunes and offering live support and I also received
some great pics of the Family of Woodstock show last August
from Carolyn Altomara [Thanks, Carolyn!] Check them out on the
Photos page.
More Soon!
Feb. '08 ~ I've had a
busy couple of weeks, mostly here in the Hudson Valley! Sun. 3rd found me at the
WDST "Woodstock Roundtable" radio show with Doug Grunther, Studio Stu
and the rest of the morning crew. I played a couple of songs live from the new
CD and got tips on my Brooklyn accent - apparently overshadowed by my Canadian
one...:) Did some writing with Jimmy Weider at The
Clubhouse which resulted in a couple of new songs and also booked some
live appearances for March. Check the 'Live' button for upcoming dates!.
Jan. '08 ~
Happy New Year everyone!
Check This Story Out!
I picked up a copy of a local weekly
paper "THE WEEKENDER" last week and opened it to find one very supportive local
fan [as yet unidentified] had placed a rather large AD including a photo from
the back of the new CD announcing it's release and congratulating us on it.
Frankly, I'm a little blown away by someone taking that kind of time and energy
to express their support and wanted to say thanks personally. Your AD has
already turned several people towards the website to purchase CD's and the
action has impressed everyone involved with this project. A great gesture and
truly appreciated.....THANKS! I am, of course, excited about
'08 and early responses to the new CD have certainly fed that excitement. We're
continuing to post some of your feedback and thanks to those who have already
purchased a CD.
The Mystery Ad - Thanks again!

~ We've just received the first copies of the new CD "Love That Shine"
and they look and sound great! Numbers and distribution will be very
limited at first, but we've set up secure online purchasing with the
help of
William Ross Solutions so order now
for immediate shipment. I'm very proud of this record and all the people who've
helped me to complete it. Watch here for details of upcoming shows in the New
Year to celebrate its release!
Nov. '07
~ My friend and co-producer Paul Antonell has just put the
final touches on the audio master for my new CD. Meanwhile, manager
Michael Pillot finished the sequencing and partnered with
designer Kenneth R. Cooke over the last artwork details. It
looks like we'll have the new disc ready to ship before Christmas -
I'm just a little excited!!

~ Guitarist and producer
'at large' Jimmy Weider just finished recording and mixing a CD
project with NY based Pop/R&B artist Lucy Bo at the
Clubhouse in Rhinebeck. I spent a couple of long days writing tunes for
Lucy with Jimmy at his Woodstock studio and we had a productive time - 3 new
songs in 2 days - one of which, entitled "Refuge", will appear
on Lucy's new record.
Sept. '07
~ I've just returned from a successful live appearance in Woodstock, NY where I
was part of a 6 hour open air concert benefiting the non-profit organization
"The Family of Woodstock"
www.familyofwoodstockinc.org
John Platania and
Jimmy Weider were gracious enough to back me for the show and
apparently it's the first time EVER that these two legendary
guitarists have played together. They were amazing, to say the least, and it was
a proud moment for me. I met lots of great players including famed
bassist/Chapman Stick player Tony Levin. [Peter Gabriel, King
Chrimson etc.] He's a fellow Harley Davidson rider so that was
definitely part of our conversation...:)

~ Michael Pillot arranged a live radio
spot for myself and the band in
Woodstock, NY. We shared the bill with John Platania,
who was promoting his new CD. Drummer Gary Burke brought friend
and bassist Frank Campbell, and John
Platania and Jim Weider shared guitar licks. We had a
great time!

~ Manager Michael Pillot overheard me singing a
version of Stan Roger's song "45 Years" one morning
while staying at the Stissing Rd. residence and the idea of recording a
cover and including it on the new "Love That Shine" CD
was born. That same evening I was back in The Clubhouse
in Rhinebeck with the band, where we actually cut "45 Years"
and a second cover to be released at a later date. Watch here for news
on that song and it's release and for more on my interest in Canadian
Stan Rogers [deceased June 2, 1983].
June '07
~ Paul Antonell and I just finished mixing the new CD
with the help of the Clubhouse Crew and I'm very happy with the outcome.
So happy, in fact, that I'm rewarding myself with a 10 day, cross
continent motorcycle tour. Happy Summer..... :)
