(Headline - Ottawa Sun) Canadian born, New York based singer/songwriter Dean Batstone has been described by critics as one of North America's best "undiscovered" songwriters! Born in Newfoundland, Canada, Dean grew up in Ottawa and still maintains a home near there, though has recently signed with renowned New York marketing/promotions icon and personal manager Michael Pillot. With 5 C.D.'s currently released, and 2 earlier vinyl records long out of print, he has an impressive catalogue of original material. His strong lyrical style yields believable stories, honest emotions and a depth of understanding of the human spirit. Always writing and performing, this prolific songwriter is equally eager to share the stage with his band or perform solo. Opening for veteran Canadian rocker Tom Cochrane at Carleton University, alumni Dean Batstone "gave an inspired performance, littered with witty, between song banter.
